Kalgoorlie visting Aunty Livi and John

Hi All

Yes I have been incredibly slack, must be true because I even forgot how to place a posting on here and what was my password, who knows had to reset it all - argh!!!.
Anyway on the July holidays, we did the big trek to see my lil sister in Kal. We got to see her new home with John and see how huge Kal really is. I can tell you I was very suprised with the size of the city and especially the size of the pit. We had really cold weather while we were there which was a bit of a downer, but I also got to celbrate my 28th birthday with my sister and my mum. Livi got me a beautiful facial on my birthday, so that was absolutely lovely. We got to search all of Kal and had a nice morning at Hammond Park with it's beautiful peacocks and great park area. My two lil gems were a little temparmental, one was being a big stirrer and the other had two ear infections we discovered in the last coupla days. I was also really suprised with the car trip it definately did not feel that long, maybe this was because Immie and Kody were much better then previous long distant car trips.
It was great having the opportunity to go see where Livi lives (thanks for putting up with us Livi and John...I know at times it was a struggle, esp when we ran out of gas at bathtime!!)

Canfixit Mechanical Services is born!!!

Its not a bird...Its not a plane...It's super Jason

Here he comes.....
Da Van is here
Jason with his van
This is the picture that will be on the advertisement...
would you trust this man???

I have promised that I would blog some photos of my fabulous husband in his new business outfits and with his freshly signwritten van . About 3 weeks ago, Jason resigned and left Metro Motors and began doing his own business fulltime. Yes, a big gamble, but we had to take the big step eventually and it felt like the time was right. We had put in a lot of work before doing this through pamphlet drops, working weekends to bulid up the client base and hiting the pavement to approach other businesses. We have had such a great response, and have had heaps of help from another independent mechanic in Joondalup, that was decent enough to give Jason advice on a range of things, and we never even knew him before - he just wanted to help. (Hurray for human kindness!!!) I am proud to say 3 weeks on and it has been going great a lil quiet last week but this week he has work on everyday and we haven't even done the big advertisement yet - will be out soon in a Smartsavers magazine delievered in Morley and surrounding areas. We are so very lucky that Jason has been able to take this step towards some thing that makes him happy, which then makes us all VERY HAPPY!!!.

Hi all

Earlier this year we became zoo friend which is were you pay an amount then you can visit the zoo as much as you want for the next year. This was the second time we had been, and this time we went by ourselves just me (Fiona), Kody and Imogen. Jason doesn't have one because he is not the fond of the zoo.Anyway after Sunday I have decided it is the best thing ever, after watching everyone running around the zoo trying to see every thing for their $16.00. Instead we strolled and went and looked at a few things, and spent as much time as we liked at each thing - especially the gibbons they were too funny. Then we went to the Playground and just sat and played around there, knowing that we could go back in the school holidays to look at the things we had missed today. Another plus was that it was a beautiful day anyway here is a few pictures.

Hi all

Here are some photos of Imogen's Swimming lessons when daddy came and watched us last week and Imogen is taking to the water like a fish, they are learning to doggy paddle to the side and get out. Imogen loves to jump, nice change to Kody who was definately not fond of the water!!! (though is now : P). Imogen is going to swimming lessons with her buddy Dhani and every time she sees the swimming bag it's "pool...dhani..."

The Monster Show

The Unicorn

Inspector Gadget 2
Peter Pan's Crocodile Head

Big Foot for a Phone company
Kody and The Gorilla
Kody's Favourite "The Were wolf"
Cheesy Grins from Immie
Monster Show
Bundy Bear
On Friday the 19th of May Kody, Imogen, Granny (or Bumpa - as Immie calls her) and Me (Fiona) went to the Monster Show at the muesum in the city. It was great, I was originally going to stay home with Imogen, but after going I was so glad we came along. All the stuff there was make up by set/ costume designers for movies such as Inspector Gadget 2, Racing Stripes, Peter Pan ( They even had the head of the crocodile there which was something like 3 metres long and the whole body would have been 10 metres if they had made it!!) and even the Bundy Bear. The time it takes to make it all is incredible, they must have the patience of saints. My favourite bit was the unicorn it looked so real, Kody's favourite was the werewolf, Imogen's was the coloured boxes that you could change the colours on and I am not sure what Granma's was, I will add it when I find out!!!. Afterwards we went for a walk through the city, had Mcdonalds and came home. We are all very lucky to be able to do these special things together (Thanks Jason : )). It was a great day!!!!
