Imogen's 3 year old PARTY!!!

Opening the many pressies
Immie was finally able to celebrate her Birthday on the
29th of April ( a week delayed). This ended up being better
as Immie was in a much better mood, we were a little concerned
how she would be with all the kids and adults around, but she put in a
good effort for about the first hour and a half. Then she ended up asleep
in Uncle Nigel's arms..very cute.
All in all, she had a blast and got incredible spoilt
THANKYOU EVERYONE!!!
for helping make our beautiful girls party a success!!
Love to you all

Hi all
Its funny how chemo makes your taste change, all a sudden everything you once enjoyed now taste weird...that was how Immie was, all she wanted all day was lollipops so at the end of the day Daddy bought her every flavour lollipop, but when she tasted them..YUCK!! this comes from a girl who loved lollies and sugar...weird

Blowing Bubbles
Easter Weekend 7th & 8th April
Granma & Imogen hiding in the cupboard
Hi all
Easter time...brings up the thoughts of chocolate eggs and
Easter Bunny when your a kid. Though when you are
all grown up it brings the thoughts of being with
your family and how lucky we are to have each other.
We were so glad to be all home and be together for
Easter and grateful to the hospital for arranging
tests around Easter time,
Heres to a million more happy Easters,
Love The Holmes Gang

Hi all
We are home again...well actually we have been home since last Tuesday and it is BLOODY FANTASTIC!!!. We came home after the stem cell harvest, which involves a very special looking machine..which is named Sponge Bob Square Pants. It separates the blood into different sections, but the main part we need is the baby stem cells,

This link explains it all. Now they at are Royal Perth in the freezer to be used (maybe) after the big chemo and radiation Immie needs after her operation.
We had to go back to hospital on Thursday for the ultrasound check and a kidney test to get a baseline for our gr8 the kidneys are. Good results from the ultrasound revealed that the tumor which was 10cm by 5cm by 6cm is now 7.35cm by 4.3 cm by 5.3cm - hurray!!. Three more lots of chemo starting next Tuesday should knock the sods socks off!!. The first kidney test results were good as well. This test took 4 hours with blood collection every hour and then twice in the last hour... so now we have them in deep freezer for the stem cell rescue after the chemo if we need them
We had a bit of a scare the morning when Immie chucked up and her nasal gastric tube came a lot out of her nose, then suddenly she sucked it back in - what a trooper!!. We were once again saved but going back to PMH.
Guess what I have updated the blog..hurray I am up to week 2 and I am going to finish the original " how we got into this" email tomorrow. It is so gr8 to be home...I love my house...my bed...my pillow...my washing...my cleaning ok now I have gone to far!!!.
